The Darwin Festival - A Time to Celebrate!
Welcome to Darwin Festival 2005!

Experience
Darwin's fantastic outdoor lifestyle and warm, tropical days and nights
at a unique festival celebrating Darwin and its multicultural flavour
and Asian connections.
The Darwin Festival is a vibrant arts and cultural event
held every year in Darwin's dry season - an amazing time of the year in
the Top End.
One of the fastest growing major Festivals in the Southern
Hemisphere, the Darwin Festival is unlike any other Festival staged in
any other Australian capital city. This is due to Darwin's location, population
size and demographics, and because of the unique Indigenous and multicultural
population that adds so much culture and flavour to the region.
This
year, the Darwin Festival will be held over an exciting 18 days and nights,
with local and touring performances and events including outdoor concerts,
workshops, theatre, dance, music, comedy and cabaret, film and visual
arts.
From August 11 - 28, Darwin will be buzzing with performers,
artists, locals and visitors enjoying the vibrant and colourful atmosphere
and the festivities of the Darwin Festival.

Darwin Festival 2005 is going to be even bigger than last year! There
are over 74 productions, 190 events and performances and over 1100 local,
national and international artists involved this year. This is one Festival
