HOT NEWS FOR COUNTRY MUSIC FANS
Following the success of the inaugural Darwin City Muster
in 2003, this year's event expands to a 2 night festival showcase of headline
acts in concert on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September.
10 hours of glittering entertainment from the cream of Australian
country music will be staged under the stars at the George Brown Botanic
Gardens Amphitheatre introduced by His Honour Ted Egan and ABC Saturday
Night Country presenter John Nutting respectively.
The 7pm concert on Friday 10th September brings Karen O'Shea
home as part of the trio Bella with Lyn Bowtell and Kate Ballantyne. Other
acts confirmed are The Flood featuring Kevin Bennett, James Gillard, Wayne
Kellett, Tim Wedde and Steve Fearnley, the deadly Pigram Brothers from
Broome and 2003 Best New Talent Golden Guitar recipient Travis Sinclair.
Gates open 6pm with the last act off stage at 11.30pm.
In a spectacular 5 ½ hour festival finale, premier acts
Lee Kernaghan, Graeme Connors, Sara Storer and more get back outback with
their own bands for the Saturday night concert from 6pm. Gates open at
5pm and concert ends at 11.30pm.
City Musters are a highlight on the national country music
calendar and a family event where you can meet the artists in the Merchandise
Tent following performance.
